im in a bind, i have a 1996 xr 400 and i love it, its really reliable and really strong but i want to get into racing, this 400 is all the power and speed ive been looking for, so ive been thinking about trading down to a 250f but i keep thinking after this 400 id be disappointed in power, but ive also been thinking about either a 125 or 250 2 stroke......... idk any advice??

i think you'd be anything but disappointed with any of those bikes, considering the old xr is more than likely the heaviest of the 4.

awk is right but remember at the end of the day you need to be happy with it what ever you choose mae sure you ride it first
right now im just happy to ride lol i dont really care what brand or what size (if im just foolin around) it is haha i have a little kx65 i ride around while the honda is being worked
ok so i really like the idea of saying i ride a 400, but im wanting a lighter bike so i thinking about trading down to a 2 stroke 125
how would my xr400 compare to, lets say, a cr125 or kx125

a cr250 would be perfect. but i keep looking on craigslist and everyone with a 250 is asking over 2200 and my bike isnt even worth that much at the moment and i dont have any money to put into it or put with te trade
