Will a 00 motor fit on an 06 body without any major mods?

bolt right in, use all the same exact parts and accessories
but.....the 03-06 has a 5 wire stator, the pre 03 has a 4 wire stator/harness.
we know a 5 wire stator can be used on a pre 03 4 wire system by grounding the extra green wire coming out of the stator to the frame.
I have not heard of any success using a 4 wire stator on an 03+ bike w/ 5 wire harness/CDI
you will probably have to use the 5 wire stator from the +03, installed into the pre 03 engine, it'll bolt right in.
you'll need a flywheel puller and impact screwdriver to break the phillips head stator bolts loose
