okay, so maybe this thread is extremely illegal since this is a ATV Forum,
but I am trying to sell my 2002 KX 250 for a while now, the reason is that I'm new to 2 wheels and a 250 2stroke is not a good beginners bike I discovered,
Somebody responded to my ad, he wants to trade his 2005 Honda CRF250R to my bike. The bike was rebuilt 77 hours ago and a new piston was fitted 17 hours ago, isn't 77 hours a bit long for a 250 4banger? I'm aware of the rebuild cost (bought a broken YZ250F, sold it in pieces after adding up all the costs),
Are there people here that have experience with the '05 250F? any pro's/con's? I read about the valve problem that effects 5-10% off the bikes, anything else?
Honda has a plate and papers, which is pretty valuable,
cheers,
LG250

For normal trail riding 77 hours isnt that much. we put many more on our quads and bikes.

learning to ride it might still be a little tough. I too went from a blaster and bought an 06 crf250r. i had to shim my valves right away

Best part about these bikes is that they are the lightest 250s made. an 05 is only 204 lbs.

The best bikes to learn on are the small ones. my brother learned on an 85. Im considering purchasing a cr125 to practice more on
