Sorry i know this post is old but i was wondering if i should use the red or blue loctite for the cylinder head studs? It is fine to snug them up, and I always use Loctite.
You should use none. torque them and do heat cycles. then re-torqueSorry i know this post is old but i was wondering if i should use the red or blue loctite for the cylinder head studs?
If you were to use any, why would you not use the high temp green stuff?Head studs may be Blue Loctited into the cylinder, but the nuts must be put on dry and torqued down to 20ft lbs.
