The "I said I'd never do this" Bobber Build

OK, show of hands, who thought this build was dead ?
not hardly, just delayed a bit
I bought this to work on over the winter of 2014/2015 and it snowballed into more "build" than I figured.
this winter we worked steady all the way into march so it sat.

today I finally drug it out of the back room at the shop to get started again, and
got my license plate bracket and muffler brackets welded on

had to hold the plate bracket up off the swinger tube to allow access to the axle bolt and brake arm

need to drill holes and buy 2 bolts/nuts for it yet

I have LED bolts for the plate that will illuminate it

the muffler brackets took some tweaking to fit to the frame in that area, and just miss the footpegs
I have black header wrap for the front pipes

they're tucked in nicely

had a few hours to play this morning, as our concrete delivery for a garage footer wasn't coming until 1pm.

pretty sure the old honda XR bikes had a similar rear brake pedal as this CX , that runs under the exhaust pipe.
and I always hated how far they stuck down when using the rear brake

the new "over the top" brake pedal, still need to trim the outer part, and find a cool bolt on extension for the foot pad

probably try to use some type of high temp silicon hose as a bumper, mounted under the hoop, to stop it before it bangs away at the muffler if depressed too far ?

finish it off with something like one of these ?
probably fab sumthin up myself

BTW, I'm really not feeling the bear trap pegs once installed, it was a cool idea but I may explore other options ?
maybe just keep it simple with a set of stock gsxr pegs, that I have laying around ?
I'll sawp a set in and see what I think.
