running wide open

my buddy tells me its bad to run my blaster wide open for str8 away cause 2 stokes can handle it. is this true?

Yes, I helped blow my top end by doing this, I thought It would be ok, but held it WOT a little to long.

You can run them hard, but running Wide open for a long stretch is hard on them. Your buddy knows what he is talking about.

sh*t f*ck. that might be wat did my crank bearing over. but i need ot know what else could cause it because i CANNOT do it again. i have a knock, and dont know what its from. i switched to 94 octane gas too and its still there. any ideas?

LOL Thats how I blew mine up too. I shatterd the berring on the counter balance and drug it down through the tranny. but it lasted about 2 miles

you can break alot of stuff doing that
crank bearing
could throw a rod
could destroy a good top end

so just dont do it
my friend had a banshee and he ran it full throttle down this road about 2 miles long or so and he didnt even make it halfway before it blew up on him
