I was riding it and it stalled found the reed broke off ...is my engine blown now?

How big was the missing piece? Usually it will be laying in the crankcase or lodged in a tranfer port or in the exhaust pipe, normally it dont hurt the piston or cylinder, pull the jug off an find it.

i've replaced a few broken reed petals in my day, once on my own which ran perfectly until i sold it 5-6 years later.
replace and ride, never had a problem

Same here. Had one break off at Awks ride last year on my freshly rebuilt engine. Still going strong.

I guess it depends if its steel reeds or fibre.
If im not mistaken, was the oem blaster reeds not steel?

The fibre reeds "should" disintegrates and be blown out the exhaust.

The petals are pretty light and tend not to hang around in the case long, they break up and get forced up the transfers only to find a fiery end.
