Custom lightweight XC/MX fun quad:

-Chassis length and width is comparable to a Blaster with a +3 swingarm and +3+1 A-Arms and +3 axle with a longer subframe and seating area is extended with revised KFX style single A-arm mount design(frame weight around 20lbs)

-Powerplant: TBD will depend on weight and power:weight. Could be 125cc dirtbike engine bored, ported, and modded or 250 two stroke. Wouldn't rule out a small twin cylinder 4 stroke engine either. Aim is 45+hp.....can sacrifice torque due to lightweight hence why 2 strokes are considered. Engine will be changed regardless. Covers will be carbon fiber and I may recast my own engine period from a stock design. IE: I may take a YZ250 design and form my own die and construct it of magnesium alloy instead of aluminium......typically about 1/3 the weight.

I'm confused. Why wouldn't you just get a Laegers 250R frame then? :-/

what you mean..laegers trx250r frame thats designed for the hybrid set ups so you can bolt the yzf motor right in, laegers made 250r frame that was built specific for the yz426f motor,,better alternative than those crappy conversions set ups, its also narrower and uses a different seat n stuff

So are you making a hybrid or a 250R? I was under the impression you were making a 250R with a 250R engine.
 
a sundahl banshee chassis that's set up for desert endurance racing

can't even imagine getting prices together......it would easily be 20-30k with everything that would need to be purchased
 
I was just thinking about it, my 450r is about a 20-25K quad with what me and the previous owners put in it.... but it was brock lyons practice quad.. he ran pro for a couple seasons back in like 04-07..
