Well guys I have a problem I've never had before. I went riding earlier and it was running perfect. I went for another little ride for like 5 minutes just around the field, towed my friends quad to help him pop start it. Then I just let it sit and idle for about 3 minutes. When I got back on and let it rip down the field it was popping and missing like crazy. I am basically clueless.

i'd change the plug, give the plug boot a good look, inside and out for signs of burns, leading to a bad connection and misfires
then pull the carb, and using a flashlight, look into the intake and see if all 4 reed petals are intact.....not missing/cracked/chipped

check the stator connections right above the shifter for good clean connections

give the carb a good cleaning, and also the air filter

then move on to the flywheel, a sheared woodruff key will cause the flywheel to rotate, making it fire at the wrong time

here's a full rundown on troubleshooting..........
