Picked up a blown up blaster and I have some questions

So did you deck the cyl? Do you have stock head? Not modified/rechambered? By quench, are you refering to squish? I wouldn't go less than about .045".

Yea I measure the squish and its .046. Got lucky only had to deck 3 thou off of it to get it clean.

Great, it worked.

You realise that you need to fit a new gasket and heat cycle again.

Fit a new gasket on what?

Just a update. I got it running WOOHOOO, Fired right up the first time and idled smooth. Did the heat cycles and then tore it all back apart to paint it. Cant wait for it to be done. thanks to everyone that helped me.

Must have read it wrong, I thought you tore the head off, but you must have meant tore the motor out.

haahah yea i meant I tore everything off the frame so I can paint it. Pulled the motor out as a whole. It was confusing to read.
