need advice on clutch

i have a 1998 blaster and i have replaced the clutch cable on it when it broke a couple weeks ago.the problem im having is it is hard to pull the clutch lever back,but the clutch is working fine just hard to pull the lever back.my nephew has an 05 blaster and wow it is easy as pie to pull back.

this clutch lever has been this hard to pull back ever since i bought it.but has worked with no problems.

will a 05 lever make it operate easier?

can anybody tell me why his is so easy and mine sucks on pulling the clutch lever in?this thing wears my hand out after about 5 hours of rideing.

did you lube the cable before you put it on?



it is also possible that it has an HD clutch in it

no i didnt think i had to!

yea that might help to lube it i had that problem on my kdx when i put a new one on. lube made it alot easier

I would say that brando is probably right about the hd clutch

real simple thing to check had a buddy do this make sure that the pivot bolt on the clutch lever isn't over tightened and causing it to bind up. was worth a check in his case
