kx 125 question

hey im sorry i know this is blaster forum, but i dont kno where i can ask this. So i gota 91 kx 125 good compression starts up and runs but doesnt seem to have powerband. It wont idle but when i took the kips cover off it idles fine and seems to run more crisp? what can be the problem here?

Won't pretend to know anything about it, but if pulling the cover makes it run better, there is your clue. I do believe they have to be cleaned/ maintained regularly. Be careful with screws as the can be stuck/loctited.
