so i just picked up an 02 blaster. Its a little beat up but got a good deal on it. I havent been brave enough to go real far with it yet but i was riding it earlier and got after the throttle pretty heavy and it acted like the throttle stuck. Just revved up high with the clutch in. No vissable signs of an air leak, and suposably its got a fresh top end. I pulled the slide off the carb and everything seems ok. I turned out what apears to be the idle screw on the tors unit. And cranked in the af screw a half a turn and it dousnt race anymore. But cant get it to idle. I see the wires are cut on the tors and the throttle handle.

be sure the 3 plug "tors brain" is disconnected under the hood.
visually is not an accurate way to detect airleaks, (see below)
the air/fuel screw should be at 1.5 turns out, not used to adjust idle.
the idle screw is accessed under the seat/tank on top of the tors unit, to adjust it.
completely disassemble and clean the carb, air filter clean ??

guess ill have to try unplugging that for the tors. This is my first 2 stroke quad. Ive owned a few sleds. And plenty of 4 stroke wheelers. The reason i turned in that af screw is because it was 3 turns out and it seemed to be running lean. This wheeler is alot of fun and i think id rather ride this over my irs polaris outlaw!

there running much better now. I noticed the tank wasnt bolted down so i fixed that. Ran some fresh fuel mixed 32:1 ans adjusted the throttle cable. Just gotta teach the ol lady how to ride it a little better. She has no problems on my outlaw and used to rip on my old 700 craptor.

whats the 3 plug tors brain?mine doing same thing.carb clean and adjusted right.i removed the tors completely.doesnt idle and after warm revs to the moon and stays there
