How much to take off the head for raising comp

Well many will say that you shouldn't just take any off the stock head as it will raise compression then u run greater risk of detonation. Best thing to do is also rechamber the head the n take some off. But u have to be careful on how much u take off because the higher the compression the high the octane u will need yo run. Idk the numbers so maybe some one else can chime in with that info

That is pretty much it Arnold.
0.020" probably won't hurt, and it will liven up, but a rechamber is a better idea if you really want to make some power.

As long as you are running a stock stroke blaster with a stock head gasket and stock base gasket, you can remove the "step" inside the head completely. It won't put out power like a rechambered head (the overall design still leaves something to be desired) but it will raise the compression some and liven it up.

Plus, you can "shave" it for free with a large belt sander (or a lot of hand filing) and something smooth enough to lap it on (thick piece of glass for instance).

with the stock head i wouldnt shave it past 0.030 you sould also think about running 91 or so octain.

i strongly recommend a re-chambered head, you could shave the hell outa it then. stock and a well rechamberes head are a night an day difference.
