As long as you are running a stock stroke blaster with a stock head gasket and stock base gasket, you can remove the "step" inside the head completely. It won't put out power like a rechambered head (the overall design still leaves something to be desired) but it will raise the compression some and liven it up.
Plus, you can "shave" it for free with a large belt sander (or a lot of hand filing) and something smooth enough to lap it on (thick piece of glass for instance).
