how do you take a link out of the chain?

Grinding heats the link that's left when you're done and weakens it. It COULD be the weak link that pops next time you're out riding.

i have a chain breaker.

would a lot easier than grinding.
you just put the claw part around the chain, make sure the spike is aligned with the pin and you turn the handle till it pushes the pin in a little.

^^thats what i do with a chain breaker. except mine is a pain in the ass cause it takes 2 people

that one is either the exact one or very similar to the one i have. it took me like a minute to take 2 links out.

I like to grind the pin a little first, then use my chain breaker. It's easier.

ok thanks guys. my chains a little loose, and want to take a link out before something gets screwed up.

ya it tightened it as much as i could and its still loose.

ok then take the master link out, have the carrier all the way forward. then check to see if you can even take a link out and it still fit.
you might need a new chain.
