home made (freek style) nerfs.

I:Ii was bord today and i saw a picture of blasterfreek30's homemade nerf bars. i thought they looked sick and i had some metal layin around. so i got to work. i made them in a few hours, most of the time spent looking for tools lol. i just didnt have enough flat bar to make the mounts for the foot pegs so i havent made that part yet but already they almost strong enought to stand on. i will have pictures of my progress up tomorrow, i still have to smooth out some welds and ill probably paint them. but other then a couple thigs there pretty much done.I:I

plates with holes would be easier but im not sure yet... or maybe some diamond plate. if i did that i would replace the bottom of the heel guards with it too.

im all done. just gonna grind all the welds down a bit and grind down shome sharp edges but they hold my weight awsome. when i jump the dont even wiggle!!

They look pretty good but i wouldnt do plates. If your jumping and and your foot slips, your most likely going to sprain your ankle.

i'de rather sprain my ankle then break my leg. and the nets would be hard a f*ck to make probably.

Dude if you wanna make nets its pretty simple. Get yourself some nylon strapping and you can connect the grid section by drilling holes at the cross sections and use rivets or short bolts with lock washers. Wrap the ends around the tubes and do the same.
