i need some advice i have a 01 blaster .020 milled and polished head vforce3 reeds 28mm pwk keihin fmf fatty pipe and power core 2 silencer twin air air filter removed air box lid. i just put the carb, head, and reeds on. the carb came jetted with 3rd needle clip #42 pilot jet and 145 main i installed the carb and the quad started right up but would only run with choke on it had responsive throttle everything but as soon as you kill the choke it revs down and dies throttle does nothing but bogs and dies i pulled the plug its wet and dark dark brown but the inside of the threads is white so i pulled the carb and installed 45 pilot and 148 main i will try tomorrow but can anyone offer any help or suggestions is this still too low???

im def not a carb guy but it sure does sound like your main is WAY to low, like its getting not enough fuel to run. im running a 300 main right now.
i had a mikuni and it was easy with the jets they were more common but this is a keihin and the main #s are different i really have no idea
how do the numbers run ,related to a mikuni? say a 300 main..what would that be in a keihin ? Ive never messed with one.
Im pretty sure there isnt a conversion between the two. example If a 300 in a mikuni= a 165. Doesnt mean a 340= a 205. I didnt know the best way to say it.
