Hi all
My Name ids Nuno and iv been lurkin here for a while and got lots of info on blasters

Been riding street and dirt bikes for years but this will be my first atv, in the past i've had dt125lc, a yz 125,xt 600, kx 125,kx250. Now i got a XJ 900 and a xt350

So finaly going to get my 1st atv next weekend
Its a 01 blaster
the guy said he blew the motor a year ago , got it rebuilt and did only a few rides since. He said he fell and broke a shuolder and dicided to sell
It's got a fmf pipe but the stock muffler.
How much difference would a fmf can would do?.
It's got a hidrolic rear brake. and apart from that it's stock.
Anyway a guess i'll get help if i need it from you guys !
bye
( BTW sorry for the crappy writing)

Welcome. Can't say I've seen someone from Portugal yet, it's cool to see people around the world joining in!

Thanx all for the warm wellcom
As for pix , only next week as i ill be picking up the bike next weekend.
Still don't know if i'm going to keep the oil injection or pre-mix it.
The current owner said he blew a motor at wot on the street racing a trx400
could have been the oil pump that faild?
anyway he seemed to be honest about it having it rebuilt so lets see if i get lucky
Bye for now
Nuno

Welcome.

You know what they say about pre-mixin; if you ain't mixin' your gas, you ain't goin' fast.

Yes i do ride it on the street (but i prefer the mud!!!)
Here in portugal just about all quads are street legal .
you Just have to get insurance and have a drivers licence
Up to a few years ago most quads were sold as agriculture machines
( like tractors ) so you could ride them wth a car licence but you had a limit of
40 kmh speed limit but rarely you see speed traps below 50 kmh (in city limit) around here anyway, most are on highways
Nowadays the quads are sold as quadricycles ,still street legal but you do need a motocycle licence.
Insurance here is cheap also ( don't know yet as i haven't got it ) , but for my other bike (Yamaha 900 ) i'm paying 132 euros per year.

bye
Nuno
