trying to find out the year of a warrior engine i have by the engine code but cant find a site or anything that will help me.....any ideas??

look at the vin and count in 10 letters/number and whatever number you land on, thats the year of the motor. Example: if i know its in the 90's and i count in 10 digits and i land on a 5 than its a 1995
not looking at the vin, as i dont have the frame just the engine......the number on the engine is different
i also tried to do this on my 03 blaster, and my old blaster before i sold it. the blaster motor is 9 digits and the frame is a different number i forgot the number. The warrior should be the same but im not for sure. Check with your yamaha dealer and they might be able to tell you.
heres the only thing i could come up with for now... i'll keep searching though

Good question. I haven't found a number on the motor itself that identifies it's year. There is a number on the cases but you would need to take it to a dealer.
