Electrical Problem 2006 Blaster

My blaster runs great and starts first kick each time after my rebuild, but since I bought it used if i get it wet like from washing it or hit a puddle the head light was blowing out..?

After checking for exposed wires etc..I found out the Stator cover gasket has a crack in it and the wire wrap had gotten water into the stator area.

As I said the bike has spark and runs but now even after replacing the head light that wont work or the oil dummy light has no voltage.

would a bad stator cause this being it got wet...??

It is the lighting coil it is one of the coils that is part of the whole stator assembly. The ignition part of the stator is still good but the lighting coil is bad. Go to the DIY section and read the service manual of electrical.
