just want to no if you guys no what the difference is between the 2 other than the cubic inch of the engine of course :-/? have been looking at both and heard the 660 is more for like a dunn type. I want it to trail ride hill climb ect. and the power of course, i dont have any sand around were i live lol...thanks I:I

700 is fuel injected. The newer version of the 660.
Both very nice machines. They are both a bit top heavy, and very torquey machines... I could not keep the front wheels on the ground of my 660.

like Tim said the 700 has EFI, the 700 has a 686cc motor 4 valve single over head cam the 660 has a 660cc motor with dual carbs 5 valves single over head cam, the 700 has an aluminum sub frame, if you get a 700 SE or 2008 or later you get fully adjustable shocks with rezzies the 660s only came with crappy pogo sticks, 2009 700s have a digital dash and of course the plastics a different. i'm sure there is more im missing, if you can afford the 700 get it you wont regret it.

lots of ppl on this other forum that i go to say the efi is cool and all but they prefer the carb cause its simpler and supposibly gives u more power
Either first yr or two of 660 had trans problem. Be sure it has Yamaha repair if you look at early model.
