the excess oil you had in there will cause a pressure situation and cause the crank seals to leak, i'd try the proper level first and see if it stops smoking, is it possible that less pressure in there wont push the oil past the seals????

thanks awk and yb the crank seals are good i just drained the oil and put new in and the rite amount and it brought it back to life and then the cops came because i live in the surburbs lol

I have some problems with my atv, it has currently been standing abith without transmission oil, i tryed to fill using the window only, but it showed it was enough at only like 200ml, is 650ml the correct amount? and is the ml the same in Norway? :S

I am currently not able to gear over 3rd, it wont go over it, just seems like its stuck or something, i am using Motul 5100 10W40 4-stroke motor oil.

Sorry for all the questions, just dont want to do anything bad.
