Broken clutch cable?

I broke my clutch cable this morning. The ball on the clutch lever end of it just ripped off. I already have a new one ordered. I was just wondering if anyone has run into this and has a quick fix to reattach the ball to the cable. Drill a hole in the ball and pinch it back together maybe? If not, no biggie. I just wanted to ride tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

maybe is you had some solder you could drill a tiny hole in the ball and then solder it back on....

clamp a vice grips on the lever down on the case and use that as a clutch lever!

lol. I ran a few vice grip scenarios through my head. I'm riding tomorrow. Where there's a will, there's me riding my blaster.

i dont know about J B (JunkBullshit) weld, but some quick steel may work, hard as steel, can even be tapped with threads
and that happened on my old 200x once, and i found a motorcycle shop that had the tool that they melt the metal and form a new ball on a broken cable, might wanna call a few shops if they're close by

if you must, use a fishing sinker and keep a few extras and a pair of pliers and only use the clutcth to start out.
