Blaster wont start flooded engine

My Yamaha Blaster wont start, I was driving the other day when it cut out and would not start again. When i take out the spark plug it is very wet and when i clean it and put it back in the same happens again. What is causing this? How can i fix it? HELP HELP HELP

Turn off pet weiner, drain carb, take plug out, open throttle and kick twenty or thirty times to purge the motor of all the old fuel.

Is there any fuel leaking from the carb?

Do you have a good spark?

Yes the spark is good and there is fuel leaking from the carb.

You need to service the carb.

There is possibly crap in the needle and seat, and until you fix that you are always going to have flooding problems.

There is no engine oil, you might mean gearbox oil.

Remove the drain plug after you get the motor to running temp.

Let the oil drain for at least 10 minutes.

Fill with 650ml of oil designed for aircooled motorcyles with wet clutches.

i did what you said, the engine is now turning over and starting but will not stay going or rev up?

Could it be the reed valve?

check reeds, and check tors unit. sounds more like tors. what year is ur blaster?

the tors = throttle overide system, its that big white brick thing abouve your carb that the cable is going into.

yuppp and the "brain" under the hood its a little black box. just dont mistake it for the CDI

ohh ok. so dont do anything woth tors unless u want to remove it. idk. maybe u just rip to hard? lol did u get stock ones last time? get superstock ones next time.

Check for reed stops on the cage too, the could be flapping beyond their elastic point and snapping...think of a piece of metal, bend it enough times it will fail and break.

Carbon reeds on now and is running perfectly, lets hope it stays like tis.

The stoppers are fine
