Blaster shuts off when too hot

I have an 02 blaster i recently got. All I did to it was put a new tranny and a new top end on it. It start up on first or second kick but after riding it for around 30 to 45 min it starts sounding a little crackly and just shuts off and you have to wait till it almost completely cools down before it start up again

Do you kill the bike? Or does it die by itself?

If you kill it, if it doesn't start hot it's a sign of a top end rebuild.

I've also seen bikes have an issue with the pilot jet being outta whack with warm temps. Try turning it out 1 -1/2 turns out and see if that helps.

Sounds like it's heat seizing

Did you leakdown test it for airleaks ?
What mods and main jet ?
Carb cleaned while you had it apart ?

Sounds like a failing stator, or a failing CDI ignition module! Electronics suffer heat failures especially when they are mounted on air cooled atv's . Does it run totally normal when it's cool?

Remove front tank shroud and place a cold jell pack on the CDI when it begins the fail. Bam if that correct the failure , replace the CDI the same goes for the TORS module

You can also remove the stator cover and use freon to quickly cool the stator briefly to check for heat related failure! That may make you not a favorite of the global warming communities though!
