axle help

is there any certain way to get the axle out of the bearing cage? i could only get it about half way and it wont come out anymore.. any help apreaciated...

well I would take the other tire off so theres no pressure on the bearings, and are you hitting the one side with a rubber mallet at all???...or just trying to pull it out?
