Another blaster problem

Ok so I got my blaster running and have been breaking it in after the top end rebuild. Now my petcock is leaking. It didn't do this before it blew up. It only happens when the gas is turned on. The vent line isn't clogged. Hopefully after I fix this I will be done working on this thing. Yeh right lol

maybe your gasline is cracked (dryrotted) or the petcock is cracked below the valve.

I don't think that the line is cracked and I don't see how the petcock could've been damaged.

Well you can rule out the petcock gasket or it would do it if the gas was on or off.
You didnt bend the petcock at all and bend it back?

No like I said I havent done any damage to it at all. A buddy said that it may be a pressure leak.

Pressure? How do you mean, I thought it was a gravity feed fuel system.?

He said that the motor was pushing pressure back through the fuel line to the tank. Thats what he said but I don't see how it could because of the vent on the cap.

take the petcock apart and check the oring inside it is prolly shot causing it to leak fuel

thats about the only thing that will cause the pet weiner to leak other then it being broke or bent

Finally tore into the oring was good. So I cleaned everything put it back together and it stopped leaking.
