Over the winter I put a 240 bore kit in my blaster and a 250 jet, I know I needed more air flow so I got a moose racing air filter and 6, 1" air box vents. I soon realized it was not enough, if possible how many would be enough, or do I just need to go to a screen instead of vents on my air box cover. The engine is also getting extremely hot and it is only 40° outside

what, when, why or who determined a 250 main jet was enough fuel for those mods ?

one does not simply throw any old jet in :)
then keep adding air, and hope it doesn't fry.
it's getting hot because the air/fuel ratio is lean on fuel.
do not even start it again until corrected

list all your mods, pipe ?
and maybe we can suggest a main jetting range to start

then you'll need to plug chop:

you'll also benefit from reading all the pinned threads at the top of this list

I figured it was running lean and all the mods I have is an FMF power core 2 exhaust and a moose racing air filter

FMF, airbox mods, filter, 240 kit....
i'd start with a 330 and work down, buy 330/320/310/300 and a 6 pack of b8es plugs.
just the mods would require at least a 290/300, i added a few in case the 240 wants more ?
i'm not experienced with 240 jetting, but those should be close
plug chops will tell you what it wants
