35mm PWK or V Force 3 reeds

Heres what I got so far. FMF Fatty, K&N w/ air box lid removed,oil block off (mixing 32:1), OKO 30mm carb, and Nology Hotwire and coil. My idea was to stay under $300 for these coming additions and that includes ~$100 for new chain and sprockets, 60 for a seat, and maybe a new stator if needed.

So my question is, what would be more beneficial? A Keihin 35mm PWK or the VF3 reeds? I'm leaning towards the reeds just because I believe that is my bottle neck right now.

Maybe a set of reeds and reed spacer and hold off on the bigger carb for now.

I'm also thinkin about sayin screw my budget and sending my motor off to KOR for port and polish while I've got everything stripped down. Any thoughts on that?

Port and polish would be the best bang for your buck. 35mm carb will be to big for a unported or stock bore motor.

Vf3's first! But agree porting would get ya the most with the vf3"s

Really won't need that big of a carb unless it's ported. Even after that might depend on type of porting and type of riding. I would go porting over reeds any day.

All of those mods are going to be ABOUT 150 dollars, give or take. I would go with port work.

i agree. especially since you already have the 30mm oko carb. get porting for the best bang for your buck. you can worry about reeds or a bigger carb afterwards. IMO
