Does any one know the difference between an air striker and non air striker?
I was looking at carbs on e bay.

The air striker carburetor has a splitter on the very bottom of the throat to direct more air towards the base of the needle. It's supposed to improve the bottom end throttle response.

The A/S carburetor also has quad vents for the float bowl to help with sloshing.

There are duall finns on the intake side that as sicividude says directs more air flow past the needle and emulsion tube,i can only assume, the higher velocity here creating a greater pressure indifference and aiding in atomising the fuel mix better as the mix enters the ventury
