Looks like I might be replacing my bottom end on my 02 blasty. I'll know more this evening as I tear into it, but on quick inspection it appears the piston and cylinder did not seize and look great. Whew, just had that stuff p&p'd 5 hours ago. Bye bye crank I suppose. I might have at my disposal a good 03+ bottom end to just swap in there.

Now I understand the 03+ bottom end has an extra wire, and with some research I've seen that some just ground it? I've done a good bit of searching and haven't found a thread that specifically addresses this. I know I could swap the harness but not very interested in that. Opinions?

you can,but why buy a puller and stuff, when all you gotta do is ground a wire?

Yeah, why buy a $9 tool that will last forever and can be used on not only the quad you own, but numerous other quads and dirtbikes?
