changed out my old carb for a different of the same stock model. i completely removed all the tors crap that screws onto the top of the carb. thing runs pissah until 3rd gear high RPM and it just completely cuts out. doesnt shut off, just cuts out for a couple seconds. any ideas as to why this...

whats the bare minimum i can run for wiring, as far as i can tell from the wiring diagram, basically all i need is the CDI box, and the wiring coming from my stator/magneto dealy. yes? no? maybe? anyone else stripped this sh*t down like this before?
