    Pricing question?

I am trying to recoup some of my rebuild money and I am about clueless on what is a fair price for Blaster items that are used and my ebay pricing research is all over the place. It is difficult to match condition with price through pictures so if you could just give me an idea of where I...

And The Worst Custom Fabrication Award Goes To

It actually does have the slightest angle to the plunger. I am worried about this as well. It will make do until I can get to my father in-laws shop and get a hold of some aluminum that will function for the new bracket, as I am not giving the bike back until next month some time.

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

I used a degrease agent found at Walmart to scrub them down first. It is called Purple Power. Then I followed this thread http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/how-restore-plastic-3274/ It worked out really well. I was going to attempt to use the heat gun method but I...

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

Here are the latest pictures of progress. I am in the midst of deciding between 01 and 03 nose piece and also which headlight to run. I know the 03 will take a little fabrication.. More chances to play around with a welder?

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

I may have not applied it properly, using the right nozzle size for spray gun. that being said, I do not care for it as it has been over a week and it is still not set properly, after the week of waiting that it states in the directions. I set the frame on a drop cloth to protect it and it...

And The Worst Custom Fabrication Award Goes To

I tried to use a You tube video and Oxy- Acetylene torches with a rod taken from my father in-laws shop. He has TIG or MIG I forget. After watching the video I thought the process was ( get both pieces red hot to the point of melting and melt the rod to connect the two metals) I was...

And The Worst Custom Fabrication Award Goes To

So during my rebuild I found out I needed to make an mount for the back master cylinder. I did not realize that they did not just bolt right on until after I did my paint job. Piss Poor Planning = Piss Poor Performance Luckily I have a bent 03 frame so I tried to cut out the...

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

It is actually my first attempt at using a gun to paint. I used to rattle can everything because i did not care to put forth the prepping effort. But for this build I am tearing every inch of this bike apart and rebuilding. For the frame 2 x Primer coats 2 or 3 base coats (...

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

To tell you the truth I probably have the 3 strangest axles on the planet. The axle on the bike the hub slides on the right no problem, left gives problems. The first axle on the ground ( the other 2001 axle) has too much play when it is in the housing so I can not use it, Left side has...

    Rear axle question with pictures

Thanks for the info... I liked the shape of the 03 axle better as the disk brake slides up against the stopper on the axle, plus the carrier and the hydro's are off an 03 while the rest of the rebuild is an 01. But I will defer to the judgement of the forum and use the 01 axle, as...

(No Good Deed Goes Unpunished) Rebuild

They come off of a 2001 Kawasaki Mojave. I got them for free from a friend with ITP Rims and tires and wanted to see if they would fit because I liked the rims over stock ones. I tried using stock hubs for the ITP rims but the lug pattern will not match up. I am having issues though, the...

    Rear axle question with pictures

I have 3 different axles, as shown in the picture. I got them all in a parts box. If I am going to have hydro brakes in the back, does it matter which axle I choose to use? Two of the axles are the same style one is different. The bottom one in the picture has different design...

While I am waiting for clear coats to dry I am redoing the 2003 blaster motor bottom end (Seals, Bearings), And because I have 4 jugs as spares I tried, ( KOR DIY Porting). I still have to hit up the exhaust and transfer ports with a 1000 grit wet but they look a hell of a...
