I have a 2000 Blaster 200 that's leaking gas out of the petcock. I can't seem to figure out why this is happening as it's assembled from what I can see correctly, and the gasket should be sealing it up. I'm new to this kind of stuff so if this sounds dumb I apologize. Is there anything I should check to stop this leak?

There are some seals in there that perish or just stop working after while (fuel ruins them). Open it up an replace the seals. Here's a pic:

In my experience it is the plate that holds the on/off switch slash smiley faced seal on it gets warped.
take it off and make sure it is FLAT, FLATTIN IT STRAIGHT.
THE ONE WITH 2 SCREWS HOLDING ON THE ON/OFF SWITCHo_O

I however replaced the smiley seal as my local dealer said it was a recall on that seal, yet I believe it was the plate that was warpeD a lil :)

A FREE FIX IS TO CHECK THE PLATE OTHERWISE REPLACE THE SEALS:D
