I have a 2000 Blaster 200 that's leaking gas out of the petcock. I can't seem to figure out why this is happening as it's assembled from what I can see correctly, and the gasket should be sealing it up. I'm new to this kind of stuff so if this sounds dumb I apologize. Is there anything I should check to stop this leak?

In my experience it is the plate that holds the on/off switch slash smiley faced seal on it gets warped.
take it off and make sure it is FLAT, FLATTIN IT STRAIGHT.
THE ONE WITH 2 SCREWS HOLDING ON THE ON/OFF SWITCH
I however replaced the smiley seal as my local dealer said it was a recall on that seal,yet I believe it was the plate that was warpeD a lil
A FREE FIX IS TO CHECK THE PLATE OTHERWISE REPLACE THE SEALS
