Does anyone know it all yamaha thumb throttles are interchangeable? I was looking at the yfz450 throttles. They're smaller and have a lower profile. Will the cables screw in and done?

I don't know bout a yfz but I know that a banshee one will fit. I just installed a 400ex one and it is like butter and it seems like a easier pull too. it is also pretty small and low profile

I believe they are all pretty much the same as far as the ends for the cable. If not,,,, than i know there are a bunch of different threaded ends to make just about any cable work with any throttle. Realy the only concern i could see is that you would just need to make sure the thumb throttle will open the carb enough. I wouldnt think that would be a problem with a yfz thumb throttle opening a 26mm blaster carb but it could be an issue the other way around. Like stated previously the Banshee thumb throttle is the same. (it is opening the same exact saize carb only 2 of them)....

Also i do remember when i sold just the actual lever and it was the same part # as just about every yamaha atv out there.

Yes the yfz450 thumb throttle works no modifications required.

It is deffinantly smaller than a stock blaster one. It might be the slightest bit easier to push but deffinantly smoother feeling

Update:

Ordered a yfz450 thumb throttle with a billet extended throttle. Received it and installed it. The throw is more, so I had to back it off from the stock throttle. It works awesome and it's a smaller profile. It is also a smoother push. So far so good. It was off a 2012 model. So if anyone was curious it does work.
