  • Free revving it revs great...just under load in whoops or lugging a turn seems to have loss of power... won't wheelie either
It starts first kick every time. Coil is grounded to frame and hotwire is grounded to cylinder
I'm running 108 octane now. Ct said at least 100 and according to my plug my timing is good....at this point I'm wondering if my porting from ct is just screwed....but from 1/4 -wot it blows the tires off. Also going to try a .020 plug gap instead of .030 as that is what a lot of 250r guys run. BTW I'm using a nology coil and hotwire

I jetted mine for straight race gas, also needle is in the middle clip position.
If it runs better with a tighter plug gap then you may have a week spark. Where and how is your nology wire grounded.
You may want to give your stock coil and wire a try.
Yes I had to put in a #6 slide and cut spring to get to idle....right now I have a loss in low end power more of a bog I have to figure out. Tried bigger diameter needle dgk instead of Dgh and nothing changed. Maybe I'm lean boggin at 1/8 throttle or I may have too much octane and or my setup don't like the +4 timing with the stroker..tomorrow I'm hoping to figure this out...
Hey buddy, we have similar setups and was wondering if you could share your carb setup with me cause I cannot find my low rpm power... as of now I have a #6 slide dgk needle and 48 pilot and 168 main

HEY! I got the CT 240 with a 4mm stroker, and Keihin 36mm PWK. For the break in procedure on my new piston I had a 160 main and a 50 pilot. It was running a little rich!
I just changed to a 158 main and a 48 pilot, I have a #6 slide and a DGH needle. I haven't had much luck tuning this carb!
Do you have any idle problems? I did!>> http://www.blasterforum.com/threads/idle-problems-36mm-keihin.56551/
If i can find some free time and come up with a better pattern for a easier and faster way to make them then i will make some.
hey 79 bronco. do you still have any of those plastic. im look for a complete set that will fit a 1990 to 1995 blaster. have any for sale
You call it a dumb idea, but it could be done easily i think.

Just do what you said, but the trouble will be pulling off the card board.

You would only need one layer of carbon fiber. Depending on what type you use, the fiber will be stronger than the aluminum... They have made a car out of 80% carbon fiber now I:I

Although that stuff isnt cheap, it is pretty awesome :D
Oh ok, thats what we were doing, making it as wide as the inside of the upper frame. And big enough for the larger air filter that CFM uses...

I was looking at some silicone pieces i would need, but those are quite expensive lol...

I need to figure out what im doing first...
Do you have a thread on building your airbox?

I am looking at building one, but was wondering what dimensions you used.

Im too cheap for CFM lol
    hey doug,
    i run a streamline billetanium, rebuildable, 7 way, i paid like $125
since then they have upgraded the rebuildable models to 11 way adjustable, and upped the price............

be sure whatever one you buy, it clearly says rebuildable, or it will be junk in a few years, slick runs a "moose rebuildable"
