fmf exhaust jets?

You cannot use the one you chopped unless you are a good welder to put the threads back on.

edit; unless you are a WELDING GOD!

270-300 my a$$. I'm running a 250 and shes still loading up. Thinking about going back to the stock 230 but I don't have the cash for a rebuild right now..

your jetting could be elevation, carb, temp, spark, motor... i ran a full fmf and 290 in the winter and 270 last month. nice coffee ring with Great power!!!

i just got the fmf mounted and a 260 jet and it seems like dont have as much power down low like the stock pipe did?

Coulds you post a pic of your plug at #260 main, cos to me it seems lean.

Did you remove the plug and fit anotyer before you rode home?

Did you do it this way.

Plug chop.

Warm up motor to operating temp.

Fit new B8ES plug, ride through the gears and hold WOT in 5th or 6th gear for 10 seconds, or as long as you can safely.

Switch off the motor and pull in the clutch, roll to a stop.

Take the plug out and replace the old one for the ride home.

Carefully cut the threaded end off the plug to expose the insulator.

There should be a smoke ring of a cardboard or biscuit colour around the insulator.

If it is non existant or a very light colour, you are lean and require a larger main jet.

If it is a lot darker you are rich and may go down a size in main.

I prefer to run a little on the darker side, I may loose a little power but it is worth it for the peace of mind that I won't need a rebuild so soon.

and basic to test if ur pipe is leaking, start up ur engine cold, and put it on full choke, and hit the trhottle a little. smoke should ONLY comout out of silencer. if u feel any wind or see any smoke where the pipe meets the engine, ur leaking. thats bad and may cause it to run lean too

New pipe gasket? That 260 does sound lean. I ran that system with a 270 main 32.5 pilot and needle in the middle. And it pulled like a beast down low. I KNOW the flange doesn't leak unless it's the gasket. That and that silencer has brand new packing in it. It may take a run or 2 to settle in. Also, are you still running with the airbox lid on? A good addition to ANY pipe is a free flowing air filter like a Uni or similar WITHOUT a lid. More air = More power.
