banshee VIN location

on the engine: above the stator cover, the frame: bottom tube, right below the engine forget which side....50/50 guess. could be pced or painted over.

why would tehy put a vin on the footpegs calcium? use your head!!!! its the frame and engine....

its not painted over cuz i cleaned that area down to bear metal where everyone says it should be and theres nothing there. i just want to find it to make sure the title i received with it is for this bike and to pinpoint the year.

what did you use? if you used an abrasives, kiss that vin goodbye!!! its not stamped deep....it will sand right off...

should be on nthe left side lower frame rail in front of the footpeg and under the engine.. the engien number is not a vin.. but the last few numebrs are the same as teh last few of the vin..

i used about 600 grit sand paper cuz i knew yamaha doesnt stamp them deep. thats right where i looked for it i took the paint off from the lower a arm mount all the way back to the foot peg and no luck. im wondering if they stamped them some where else in the early 90s or.....could this be an aftermarket frame??

well i se you have a 90 banshee with ASR a arms.. it could have a a arm conversion welded into that frame.. or soembody has there years mixed up..

could be a replacement frame. but, idk if they have titles...im not sure how those work out....but 600 grit, may have taken it off....paint stripper would have been your best bet....
