Rather deep reading, I kinda skimmed over it. One thing that jumped out is the lack of "Brand" names of tested oils Think they would have at least shown where Yamalube was on charts.
Kinda just skimmed through it myself. I think I might have to read this one 2 or 3 times to get a more better understanding. One thing I thought was cool was how they had a temp sensor on the big end bearing.
My conclusion; Polish your exhaust port to as close a mirror finish as possible .. and use mineral oil (?).. "It has been reported that polybutene based oil causes a slight drop in engine power output compared to mineral based oil."
