Where I went to school a Bog was a condition caused by a lean mixture.

The condition caused by a richer than optium mixture was called a babble, burble , or known as 4 stroking.

There is a discrepancy in the quoted write up, a gas rich AFR will never be responsible for overheating.

Having a gas rich mixture will not able the motor to produce maxium power, but a higher ratio of oil will increase ring sealing and add compression resulting in a little extra power.
