That really depends on the rest of the quad

Does it need new tires? -$
    Plastics broken or faded -$
    Chain and spokets shot?
It realy comes down to the overall condition.
Needs a topend. Why? Wrong carb or jetting?

    Is the motor locked?
Just a topend is like $200+
    Roughly 80 for a bore
    Piston 100+( forged)
    Wristpin bearing
    Gaskets

My dad taught me how to work on a motor, as most dads should be doing. This is my first standalone project without help, so if I need help I’ll let you know for sure but I think I got it.:)

What ever you do don’t get a cheap Chi-NA top end from eBay/amozon and don’t let the owner tell you you can fix it for $89.99

    Get a repair manual.
It has all the information you need to do it once. Unless you buy a cheap China kit off ebay. Then you will get to do it more than once most of the time
