STATOR PROBLEM

If it's an aftermarket stator back plate and is adjustable then the plate will need to be turned counterclockwise to pull back timing. The middle of the adjustable screw slot is usually the place to start but these aftermarket stators are not all the same so test and adjust.
Make these adjustments at full operating engine temp. Combustion speeds are at their highest at temp (if jetted correctly of course).
Do you still have your old stator? Compare the two to make sure that the ignition coil is in the proper place. My dollar says it’s 180* off
It wasn’t an adjustable one I dremeled it out so I could adjust it. But I’ve put it in almost ever angle an still does it. Should I try a different stator?
First time got it not long ago an it stop having spark so I put a stator on it an it started doing it
Did you put the flywheel key in? Torque the flywheel nut?
Might check that the key is still in there and it isn’t sheared.
