Removing a snap ring

So I’m rebuilding this blaster engine. And the snap ring that holds the shift forks is pretty hard to get to. I’m thinking I f buying some low profile snap ring pliers. But if anyone can help me that would be great.

You need to remove the transmission shafts and that shift fork shaft before removing it. What are you trying to do exactly?

I am trying to remove the transmission from the right side of the crank case. My shift star is also pushed in which I think makes a difference.
