Building my moped that i still had stuffed in a shed, only the frame so a total build is in need:)
First dug up the frame:

16 years ago i sanded it and put some primer on it, nice oldschool look is the result 16 years later lol
Welded a vespa ciao seat base on the frame, and a chrome fat swing-arm

Got myself a Simonini pipe:)

I wanted this badly back in the day, a kickstart engine,

look at the still tiny transfers in the casings:(
got myself 16 inch wheels instead of the normal 17 inch, flying low.....

Outdoors:
set up: 70cc reed valved cylinder, with a home port job
70cc cylinder head, simonini 70cc + pipe , 24 mm(make that a 28mm,20$ cheaper some how:p) flatslide carb. without filter but with bellmouth:p, engine casings matched to cylinder and a analog inner rotor ignition of a Blata replica minibike.
Expected hp: around 15 ish... at about 14.000 rpm on a 80 pound moped:D
Full race puch's put out around 20 hp.( i do not want to change a piston every hour..)
Hope to get it done this winter.

The Keihin replica 28 mm flatslide carb costs only around $45 new! and the 24 mm $65 somehowo_O
Maybe something for Blaster's?!
If you bore the casted knobby above the inlet out, and press in a brass little pipe, then you do not have to pre-mix(just hook up the oil pump hose)

i've found out this far: It's an Italjet 50 or 80 which has been professionally cut up and rewelded sometime in it's life to receive a puch engine...
Too bad, would have been worth $$$ all original...
i think it was the same as this one:

Had to epoxy the casings, transfers are wider then the gasket surface on the casings.
You can't go all the way on these engines(transfers) because of the casing bolts are mm's away from the transfers in the engine casings.. stock casing:
1446286928811-599548762.jpg

went for the 80cc cylinder and 20mm Bing, instead of the more modern 70cc reed inducted cylinder and flatslide carb.
Happy I did..;) got my heat cycles done, half tank of gas used, so I ripped it:eek::D
On the pipe, a stock blaster can not keep up:D
Not bad for a liquor cycle.. lol

Forgot to tell, horsepower is a little bit on the high side:D it tensions up and if you go on and off the throttle when on the pipe ,it violently snaps like a bow:eek::D
The thing has a top speed of 72mph (navi gps) with 17/42 gearing lol and weighs only 40 kg (88lbs)
Getting it soon on the dyno, expecting 12 to 15 hp max rpm around 16.000

That's very fast for 80cc! I had a 50cc 2 stroke Zuma that was good for 42.
