Oil light after oil tank delete and block off

Hey guys! I'm going to do an oil tank delete with the block off kit and everything. I was just wondering about the oil light afterwards. Do you just cut the wire to the sensor or what? I know I will no longer need the light but is there a proper way to rewire it, like just cutting it and connecting the two wires? Thanks!

Connecting the wires is exactly what the switch does. I'd just tape the ends off, unless you want to completely strip the harness of the wires. Make sure ANY bare wire is covered in some way.
