Oil in pipe

Today it was time to do a engine rebuild on my 01 blaster and I took the pipe off and the bottom of the pipe was filled with oil. Is this normal?

Uumm, no. If you poured it out how much was there? Hopefully you do a leak down test before you tear it down. Was it blowing white stinky smoke before?
If you are going to put a new piston in it spend the little extra and get it bored

Maybe a 1/3 of a quart of oil it did spit out white stinky smoke it left black oil on the tip of the silencer I put a wiseco piston in it when I rebuilt it it runs like a dream

Did you do a leak down test? You better check the oil level in the trans
