well i decided to do a rebuild thread were tearing the whole motor appart top and bottom we are taking the top off tonight soon as i get it out of the frame

any ideas on what did it
 
dont know i was pretty pissed when i seen that so i said f**ck it im not messing with it any more tonight because we just pissed$240 down the drain but i think it did over heat
 
well iv ran into another problem i cant get the wrist pin out of the piston any ideas on how i can get it out i was thinking pb blaster or kroil oil

It does look like from the pic it was running lean.

but did the ports get chamfered ?

And the side to side play on the rod, did you feeler gauge it ?


Because I too, wonder about both of the two, I just mentioned.

I also usually use a deep well socket the same size or close to it for tapping out the rod/piston journal bearing

what do you mean chanferd
no i did not frrler gauge it but i think it is the bottom rod bearing and it did melt the ring to the piston
we have tried tapping it out i think what we are gonna do is just buy a new crank probably stock and
