My previous thred seems to have dropped into oblivion.
I have a 98 Blaster with a CT 240 big bore kit recently purchased and runs poorly.
Has a Keihin 35mm PWK.
#5 slide
DGH needle in the 4t slot down.
165 main jet
65 pilot jet
FMF gold pipe.
I'm at 3440 ft. elevation.
With aftermarket intake and exposed cone air filter.
Is this even close to the jetting it should be?
Unknown if it was ported.
Thanks for any info.

taking your high elevation and low/mid FMF pipe into consideration .............

start at the bottom and work up thru the jetting ranges

check/get the float height correct

48-52 pilot should produce high idle between 1-2 turns out on the airscew

the DGH needle should work for you, the CEL works better for way lower elevations, but may be an option if she's thirstier than the DGH can provide (you can do 1/2 throttle plug chops to confirm if your not comfortable with "feel")

we've found the #6 slide to be essential in these 34/35/36 carbs

I've seen 155 to low 170's mains for 240's, although most run a higher rev pipe than the low/mid FMF
I'd guess high 150's into 160's for your setup ?
only plug chops will determine that:

Thanks Awk, it gives me a place to start a baseline from. I'll get a slide and a pilot jet ordered and a few new plugs.
