I am trying to confirm what size main jet i have. I believe it is a stock 220. I measured it by pinning it with a .052 inches drill bit goes thru, but a .055 does not. I am trying to figure out what the 220, 260, 32.5, decimal inch equivalents. Assuming metric size...0.052 inches x 0.0394 mm = .00205 (205 jet?). Should a 260 jet measure .00260/0.0394 = 0.066 inches?

I believe Mikuni numbers there jets for flow rate 230 =230cc of fuel per minute. Dyno jet is actual size and Keihn ?? I don't know.. again I am not 100% sure but I think that's how it goes.

Thanks for responses. Does anyone know what drill pin size a 260 jet is?

Like said above, you should just buy one there only like $5 plus shipping. Shoot for $5 ill ship you one. What is the reason you need a 260?

when i buy them at my shop they use a magnifiying glass to read them bettero_O
if you list your mods, pipe air filter eleavation pre mix ect we can tell you a pretty good estimate on what size jet you need for your blaster:)

It is not about money! Just time. I rebuilt quad and would like to fire it up tomorrow. Not sure what the previous owner did, so just checking carb settings. My research online cant find jet diameters, just a million opinions of what jet# to use. Heck, if you have a #260 jet, could you let me know what drill size it is? And i could paypal the 5 bucks. LOL. Or i can get them from jetsrus and have them a week later. Thanks for responses!

Drilling a jet out is going to leave you with a wrong size however careful you are.

The speed of travel and the rate of feed will greatly affect the finished size.

If you do run with the idea of drilling your own, please plug chop to confirm that the jetting is correct.

I have built many kart racing engines and blueprinted tillotson carbs. Converting them for methanol. My search online can't find main jet sizes (just #'s). I assumed it was the metric size, but does not equate. Drilling jets and carbs are quite simple if you go in step sizes with a hand pin vise. And you use the drill bits pins as no/go, checking them with a micrometer.
I am very curious what a 240, 260, 280 go no/go pins size. My 220 main jet go .052 and no/go at .055.
i was hoping to try this quad out soon, but i may have to wait and order the jets and answer the question myself.
Thanks to anyone who can measure their jets.

only thing i could do is this.
i got a 310 jet downstairs and i can fit a 1/16 in drill bit in it pretty snug.
So 1/16 in drill bit should be around a little less then a 310 mikuni main jet :)
and i got a 240main jet and 1/16in would not fit in ito_O

this is the bit i used new unsused 1/16 will fit in a 310...but not my 240main thats all i got right now lol
ignore the pic just an example :) of what i used

ok,good. getting somewhere. my 220 is .052 and your 310 is .0625 . Guessing a 260 might .055 go .
I appreciate you checking. if someone has a 1-60 drill set, there is a .052,.055,.059,.063 drills you can use to check your jets. Can someone confirm a .059 go on a 280.

:)
i tried measuring the 32.5 pilot i have but,i was thinking you could add the 220 to 32.5 then drill away lol
if i had one of those pipe cleaner things or like the feeler gauges i could get after it:) the round ones
still dont add up to 260

whats mods do you have? can you go higher then 260??

Did you ever figure out what size drill bit it was for a 260 jet? And if you did what drill bits and what size was it? Thanks
