how much motor oil does it take?

Welcome to the site bro.

As for the oil you mean the gear case correct. If so it takes 700ml and I use 10W40 Pensoil myself and I change it after every day of riding. There is a sight glass on the clutch cover also that has marks on it for how full it should be. Half way up the sight on even level ground.

i too have used the 10w-40 in a pinch, but would suggest running a factory or bel-ray gearsaver oil at the suggested amount above

Regular auto trans oil works good too...it has to be changed more frequently but I have never had any problems using it.
